I know, I had the same problem after my head injury. I got a card from my Aunt Olive some years ago and I had to ask dad who she was as i have no memory of her. I also had the same thing with someone I went to school with.Apparently we used to be very good friends but when I looked at her there was no memory of her, not her face her name or anything. Very awkward. My sister was with me at the time and that's when she found out that I wasn't joking.

that's why I use "aye up mate"it covers a lot of embarrassment, as in "I DO know you! but! who are you and where from"

I just let it go, if I don't know them then that's that. I just said to her that I was sorry but I had no memory of her as I didn't. I don't expect any of my lost memories to come back and to be honest I'm not sure if I even want some of those memories back based on some of the ones I do have.
