It's The Lord of the Rings for me, but in Rivendell or - even better - in Lothlorien, up in the trees. I've always wanted to live in the trees. The film didn't spend nearly enough time there. Some silly business about having to sort out a ring...

Lothlorien all the way ! My friends and I play the LOTR board game, and when we're knocked off , we put our playing pieces on the Lothlorien picture. It was so pretty in the movie...

definatly Lothlorien. Trees rule! Might get a bit boring now and again, perhpas I would live in rivendell and go for extended holidays in lothlorien?

Yes! Lothlorien. I've been a tree-lover all my life. I used to hid in a tree in our yard so my Mom couldn't find me. To live in a tree - Heaven!

Living in trees could become a bit odd tho... Barks are a bit rough and hard to sleep on.
Rivendell now... Nice place, cosy, a nice old Hobbit to talk to...

good point about the bark. How about living in trees but with a nice snuggy elf blanket?

Me thinks Rivendell would be alot more comfortable, even though Lorien is beautiful. Maybe holidays in the trees and normal life in the last homely house.

Lothlorien... but if we went from the books instead, I would have to say the elvish city that was hidden in the mountains. I cannot remember it's name (it is in the Silmarillion, it has been a couple of years since I last read it) Glorfindel is killed by a Balrog as everyone is escaping (well, those who could escape that is) I have a feeling that the name of the place starts with a 'G' but as I said, it has been a long time since I read it last. Might re-read it again soon...

If I were to live in the trees, it would be with Tree-beard and the Ents, as I would then be in the equivalent of a mobile home. I could also change homes on a fairly regular basis, so I could have a static home, a slow moving home or, in the case of Quick-beam, who is a hasty Ent, a fast-moving home. Alternatively a holiday home with Tom Bombadil would make a very pleasant change, although I would not recommend staying with old man willow.
