Owing to:
1) The greater number of players involved in this season, which makes tracking and marking the threads much harder than before, and
2) Number Six mucking me around in the Week Four thread when he couldn't make up his mind as to which Italian (or Irishman for that matter) was going to score a goal,
I hereby announce a small rule change.
When you make a selection you've got to stick to it. From now on I don't care if your favoured player breaks his leg on the Thursday before the match, when you predicted him to score way back on Monday lunchtime, you won't be allowed to change your selection!
Of course the beauty of general rules, is that there can always be an exception. And this exception is Ormondroyd for this week only. He posted his Week Five selections 7 hours before I moved the goal posts, and I think that it is only fair that he has the chance to rethink his selections should he so choose to do so

I hope nothing untoward happens to any of my designated scorers (especially Mr Brown) so I don't have to take advantage of your generosity!

Can I have a PP please Desk?
Owing to my temporary unISPishness, of course.

Don't worry, they're all just being polite about the SheffU result because I (the management) am a fan
Honestly, if we really *did* get the results that folk here ususally predict for the Blades games, we wouldn't be in Division 1, we'd be in the Champions League

Well, I must say, I'm flattered by the Argyle-based predictions so far - although it *is* probable that we'll do Luton. Due to the machinations of Joe Kinnear a couple of years ago when we beat them to the Division Three championship, there's a completely unnecessary, bitter and occasionally violent rivalry between the two clubs that means when we play each other it tends to be a home banker for the hosts.
For those of you still to predict and unfamiliar with Argyle, pop over to A954911 and there's a thread with a brief rundown of this year's squad. Most of the predictions so far look pretty convincing, though - most of our goals have tended to come from the centre-backs or midfield but for some unaccountable reason the strikers have actually scored in the last few games. 'Trigger' Evans in particular has scored as many goals so far this season as he had by mid-December last year!
