WEEK FIVE
GreyDesk Posted Sep 13, 2003
Before the results go up, I have a little admin work to get out of the way.
In the first request for a Pools Panel Pick this season, Master B gets the following:
Sunderland 1-1 Crystal Palace
West Ham 2-1 Reading
Nottingham Forest 3-1 Sheffield United
Plymouth Argyle 0-1 Luton Town
Yeovil 0-0 York City
with no scorer points.
Making a total of five for the week.
And in a late development, we have a new addition to the fold. Stand up and take a bow Lord Smooth
In the spirit of generosity unbounded, I have decided to allow his Lordship Pools Panel selections for the first four weeks of the season - yes I *know* I had said 'two or three' before, but heck, I was feeling generous
So here goes...
Week 1:
Portsmouth 1-1 Aston Villa
Leicester City 0-0 Southampton
Blackburn Rovers 0-1 Wolves
Manchester United 0-2 Bolton Wanderers
Arsenal 1-1 Everton
Week 2:
Chel$ea 2-1 Leicester City
Everton 2-4 Fulham
Tottenham 1-1 Leeds
Wolves 1-0 Charlton Athletic
Bradford City 0-1 Gillingham
Week 3:
Bolton 1-0 Charlton Athletic

Millwall 0-0 Crystal Palace
Week4:

Plus one scorer point, means that he starts the campaign with 10 points in the bag

An average to good scoring week for most, with a couple of absolute mares mixed in for good luck. The only trouble is the crap scores come from those who were in the chasing pack, whilst the good scores come from (now ex) mid table palayers. This all means that the table has tightened up, but that our 'smoking man', who got a good score, increases his lead...!

(Feeds sugar lumps to his absolute mare . Watches Number Six vanishing into the distance.
Feels hot breath of chasing pack on back of his neck.

Er, I think I'm in need of a good week this week...
