Future Healthcare UK exhibition and conference at Olympia. Sounds like a group of multinationals trying to dismantle the NHS. No, I won't be attending.

Where to take the TOEFL tests.
[TOEFL stands for Teacher of English as a Foreign Language.Whether American English or English English is unclear. Probably the E does not stand for Ebonics, though you never know....]

I'm getting a lot for computer platforms that allow me to share stuff with colleagues. Oh, and now one for Zipcar.

'Britain's Lowest Price Broadband - TalkTalk'
Well, Britain's lowest price has to be 1p. You can't get lower than that. So if they're really advertising broadband for 1p per annum, I'll take it - if not it's clearly false advertising.

The Nature conservancy, which is run by nature.org. Apparently they have chapters in many countries and states.

It's a password manager. I've been considering using one for awhile. Recently, the NIST (National Institutes of Standards and Technology) have updated their recommended standards for password policies, and it's about time. Their old standard was just awful. They encouraged people to create passwords they can't remember, but that computers can easily crack. See this XKCD for a great explanation (and quite likely the reason NIST changed its standard).

With a password manager, you can create one long password that's easy to remember to log in to your password manager which will then create unique passwords for all the sites you use. This video explains it very well.

I still haven't pulled the trigger on using a password manager myself, but only because it will take some time and effort to sort through the dozens and dozens of sites I'll need to update. But I will soon, maybe when I get some free time following all this storm crap and after this weekend when I take a break to go camping.

hard for us to remember, but easy for hackers to guess.
Ya gotta love this modern world.
But won't the hackers be looking for horsecontrolbatterystaple now?
