I don't think we paid anything in the past, or asked their consent.

I'm fascinated by the 'love your curves this season' ad. I'm quite partial to the catenary, myself, but sometimes you can't beat a good old sinusoid.

As a photographer, I'm supposed to be enraptured with the Golden Ratio spiral. But every time I see it overlayed on some masterwork by Henri Cartier-Bresson or Richard Avedon I just see B.S.

Sure, it's a pleasant curve, but I find it very unlikely that these anyone composes a photograph precisely along those lines. My suspicion is increased when inevitably, only a few points of interest actually correlate with the curve.

This is eerily on target. My doctor didn't like the albumin count in my latest urine test.

An ad this morning was rather too on point.

"Hurricane season is here, are you prepared?" From the Texas Wind Insurance Association.

We didn't have any wind damage here but we did get flooded.

There does seem to be a recurring nautical theme... I don't suppose you were so flooded you need a new yacht?

Just a couple of inches in my parents house, ruining the carpets and walls. The interior paneling and insulation will likely need to be cut out and replaced. Some furniture was damaged, but not muchI believe. Some personal items like a box of my father's school annuals are damaged. My mother and I have been pulling up bedroom carpets all day. There will be a lot of work ahead.

I've had Avis car hire and G Suite - whatever that is - some kind of file sharing thing. Neither are remotely relevant to me.

Oh, and just now, an ad for the British Science Festival in Brighton, which I won't go to, but might be marginally more relevant.
