h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Well I survived the carnival. The samba band were astronauts and the dancers the suns (perhaps that should be sun or rays of sunshine). We had orange and yellow tops and skirts and raffia. We led the procession down the hill and ended up next to the stage. The procession was a long one and in the end I felt I was on a ship, rocking back and forth to the movement. My coordination (arms and legs) isn't what it used to be so I sometimes went wrong but as one dancer puts it. There is no wrong in dancing just variation. At least there were no broken ankles or other body parts hurt in the process.

Work has not got any better in fact it's got decidedly worse and as for catching up with the boom in the amount of Entries being produced here it's not happening.

Opti it sounds like a great carnival with all the different types of floats and costumes of the people taking part. It's great that you had such a good time and good join in the dancing.

I have not yet been to a carnival but I do remember watching carnival procession is the early 80's in Harold Hill from the front garden.

Unfortunately there were no floats but it was great fun and the costumes were a lot of fun. Our group has been invited to do Notting Hill but with the cost of travel, costumes and courses I don't think anyone except the rich and famous could make it.

Ooops I forgot to mention that I liked that song on youtube and jim I'm afraid I don't always pick up on humour whether it be here or offline sorry.

Jim, when you open any new journal entry, the link to it will appear on the main page of all who have you on their friends list. But don't forget, you can only "see" if they have read it, if they post to it. Otherwise it's like ing you can read and pass on without comment

i stand corrected, usuaally a jerno i thought went to anyone when sent, that as you on their list, jim

like with your Nikita thread Jim, it came up on my main page,read it, but not posted to it (therefore,its unknown to you that I have)so its a form of lurk

Don't forget, Jim, there's 2 friends lists: the people who YOU have listed as friends, and the people who have listed you as a friend. There's a lot of cross-over, obviously, but they're not identical lists. A journal that you write will appear in the conversation lists of people who have you on THEIR friends list.
