Opticalillusion- media mynx life would be boring without hiccups

It's nice to have a long refreshing break away from it all and Cornwall was just the right remedy for forgetting it all and enjoying the splendour of nature around me. I went water skiing with the same tutor who taught Harry Enfield's children how to water ski (however in doing so i did do a spectacular forward roll in the process once causing me to swallow some of the sea!), visited St Michael's Mount and Trelissick Gardens. I also had a meal at Stein's bistro. Who'd have thought oysters and cheese were a great combination?! steak and chips came after, followed by praline profiteroles for pudding. smiley - drool Unfortunately, the water was too rough for kayaking in the end but it was fabulous all the same. The cottage with its white washed rooms and exterior was sooo pretty and cosy too.

smiley - ta to my bf and his family for allowing me to take a break away from it all.

Oh, Opti,

You are so lucky. I just smiley - love Cornwall. Haven't been for many years, but it holds many happy memories for me. I loved it in the winter too when the 'grockles' weren't there (except me of course!). The food is wonderful, the sky sea and sand glorious and the wildlife and natural environment is second to none, unless of course you are Skankyrich who champions Devon at every opportunity!

I am glad you had a good break and I hope you feel better for it.

I have many happy memories of that area. I spent a week's holiday there a few years ago, and though we were based near Tavistock (Devon! smiley - yikes) I went down to St. Mawe's Castle near Falmouth. Lovely place.
