Same here - and some of the way the train is even on a ferry. No extra charge though

Google maps tells me I am 609 km from Hamburg. There's a good train connection, though.

If you like, we could start an entry on German Meets generally, and start a thread there.
I think I've been to all of them (well, there was one I couldn't make, AFAIK), so I'd be happy to do that. The dates I have, in case anyone's interested, are:
9 December 2000 (Black Forest)
28 April 2001 (Grünstadt) - although that one hardly counts really. There were three of us. One joined on the Sunday afternoon.
18 September 2002 in Freiburg - that's where I first met Hati!
29 March 2005 - Koblenz
18 April 2006 - Frankfurt
25 August 2007 - Cologne
9 August 2008 - Düsseldorf
24 April 2010 - Mannheim

In the meantime I will go mow my lawn and then we'll see
We should let all others know about the possibility to go to a german meet (or meat as it were) by putting a link or something on the general meet thread. Right now I have no idea how to do that

OK - you wouldn't be allowed to mow your lawn here in Germany this fine Sunday morning. But, as you are by definition an outlaw, that probably wouldn't bother you.
