Though of course for robin it *is* nearly 12 noon on Saturday 19th July, but that somehow isn't quite the point...

Right, I'm back from the pub. And it's time to do the Pools Panel malarky all over again for Egon and Number Six
Egon's picks are:
DC United 1-0 San Jose Earthquakes
Columbus Crew 3-3 Kansas City Wizards
Chicago Fire 0-1 New England Revolution
Dallas Burn 0-0 MetroStars
Charleston Battery 0-1 Rochester Raging Rhinos
... and no scorer points
Number Six's are:
DC United 1-0 San Jose Earthquakes
Columbus Crew 0-2 Kansas City Wizards
Chicago Fire 1-1 New England Revolution
Dallas Burn 4-1 MetroStars
Charleston Battery 0-0 Rochester Raging Rhinos
... and no scorer points

I'm pleased to announce that this week places 1 to 3 were taken up by human pickings, and not those done by the machine. I guess we know a little more about US soccer than we thought we did. Either that or their website is in English
--------------------------------
The Results:
DC United 1-2 San Jose Earthquakes (CURTIS, Roner, Lagos)
Columbus Crew 0-1 Kansas City Wizards (SIMUTENKOV)
Chicago Fire 3-1 New England Revolution (GRAY, Mapp, Ralph, Twellman)
Dallas Burn 1-1 MetroStars (DAVIS, Magee)
Charleston Battery 1-1 Rochester Raging Rhinos (MILLER, Henderson)
[Note - the last two games were won 2-1 in overtime by Metrostars and Rochester respectively. But as it happened in overtime, those scores don't count for this competition ]
------------------------------
The Points:
Ormondroyd - 6 points (DC, Chicago & Charleston result)
GreyDesk - 6 points (DC & Chicago result, Dallas & Charleston scorer)
Master B - 0 points - sorry about that sunshine
Otto Fisch - 8 points (DC result & score, Chicago scorer, Dallas result, Charleston scorer & 1st scorer)
Robin - 2 points (Columbus result)
Egon - 2 points (Dallas result)
Number Six - 4 points (Columbus & Charleston result)
Tonto & Kiltedjedi - MIA - no points
-------------------------
And that little lot makes Otto our week 10 weekly winner! Good stuff

I'm sure you won't believe me B, but I was genuinely quite upset that you got no points this week.

Awww. Thanks, mate.
I still think three ducks in a row must be an achievement of sorts. Can it get a mention underneath the league table, along with the Full Houses?

I don't know if anyone noticed, cares, or is still subscribed, but I've just noticed that Egon's inebriation was a Quote Of The Day last January, some six years after it was first posted.
Time flies, eh?
