Eggs, eggs - yes, I think you're right.
Duck-Billed Platypus.
Researcher 127812:- I think you need to read the rules to this game... I forget where they are or what they are, but someone around here ought to know what we're doing...
And I'm afraid I really don't know anything about the tastes of tea to those who like it - I am one of those who hate it...

Er, sorry, he's not around at the moment - gone out in the Volvo... Could you explain here for everyone who has no idea what you're going on about and no immediate contact with someone over 40 who listens to Radio 4 about this 'Mornington Crescent' and why it is actually cake...? Please?

The_RAVEN Posted May 27, 2000

That explains the fascination with guitars, then... Most of my male 15-year-old friends are into minidiscs and recording at the moment...
Oh, right, OK. How do you get from Kangeroo Sausages to Mornington Crescent? And anyhow, Mornington Crescent ~isn't~ cake, so this game hasn't been won. So I'm going to pick it up from Mornington Crescent and carry right on...
The Turkish Flag.
(leaving this right open for someone...)

Isambard Fortisque StJohn Smithe Posted May 28, 2000
So, how did I get from Kangeroo Sausages to Mornington Crescent?
Well, the 1976 convention on Mornington Crescent passed the follwoing clause (Page 48, paragraph 3, sub-section iii):
A player may move DIRECTLY to Mornington Crescent from ANY station if NONE of the previous 5 (five) stops were on EITHER the Jubilee Line (JL) OR the Circular Line (CL), IF, and only if, the previous player did not mention a station with a Postcode (ZIP) that does not contain ANY even numbers.
As 'Kangeroo Sausages' has no postcode, I played Mornington Crescent in the desperate hope that we were using the full set of rules from 76.
If we are not then will say:
Kebab flavour condoms (well its Turkish, innit!)

Oh. *nods vigourously and pretends to understand*
Carbon flavour onions.

Martin Harper Posted May 28, 2000
Hang on - we're playing Cake, not Mornington Crescent - and you can't do a game-switch manouveur unless it's a month with no 'R' in it.
Onion flavoured carbon
Key: Complain about this post
