I'm merely providing some questions and some links which may be of interest to Oberon. i really wouldn't like to say one way or the other whether I believe the article or not, but the fact that the author has given two contradictory stories of how he gathered his information is inspiring some scepticism.

Ah, abuse! I was wondering how soon it would come to this.
If you find my postings the Single Most Pompous and Offensive thing on h2g2, then you know where the Yikes button is, and how to use it.

I'd choose 'gullible and anal' over 'smug' any day.

Hmm...I wonder what makes me think that this person and the Rev are one and the same?

They appear to be different people, although friends if they are.
... And they live or work in Borehamwood... for Hertfordshire County Council!!!

'Hmm...I wonder what makes me think that this person and the Rev are one and the same?' Well done Clouseau! Triumphant work! If you read some of my most recent posts you would find out that I have recently begun my pupilage in a large chambers in Chancery Lane. I would like to update you, as you seem quite interested in who I am, I have been headhunted by one of the top-ten law firms in the country and will be transferring my work to Liverpool Street in the next month or so.
We are not one and the same person, as would be apparent to even the most blinkered buffoon. Sorry, I seem to have some support and your campaign of harassment against me isn't as one sided as you thought.
Oberon, you live in Borehamwood? You poor poor man! Get out before you get hurt. I feel much safer over in the peaceful village idyll that is Cuffley. We have a mainline station and don't feel the need to burn roast each other in the streets.

All I can tell you regarding my sources is all i have here. I have done most of the article from memory. Ced is the real big fan as I say, which doesn't mean a great deal due to the pitiful resources he has managed to find. He is a freelance journalist and has spent the time in the CBritish Library, I'm just feeding off his scraps and have rehashed what he said to put on here to a certain degree.
I haven't had the luxury of spending research time on it, hence the request for help. My copy of the tape is a copy of a copy as I have already said, it sounds like long wave stereo being played in a bowl of porridge but the quality of the songwriting shines through. Being a copy of a copy the title could even be wrong, I really don't know, but I am quite sure it isn't available in the shops, that has been Ced's mission for the last few years and he was in talks to film a program for Channel 4s The Other Side about the whole thing if you really want to know.
I no-longer have the luxury of posting on here much at all, what with recent work commitments demanding that I am in the Thomas More building for most of my waking life these days.

It still sounds like rubbish to me, all of it.

to be honest with you, even if it is true, an entry made up of vaguely remembered information and inaccuracies (such as the Hank Williams Jr dates) would not be up to EG standard anyway.

I'd like to thank Felonous Monk for being such a welcoming and open-minded person.
You'd make a very good agent of the CIA. Maybe one day you will find a suitable place to harness all your prejudice.
