The National Mall in Washington DC is suppose to be for ceremony for reflection and for paying repects. It is also a place for protest as was intended from the design. No commercial endevours allowed no tee shirt sales and the like.
For the first time there was a garish commercial endeavor by the top corporations and the strings that bind to the Republican Party.
It was put on by the NFL and Pepsi. I am sure I need not explain the symbolic and rational discrepancies in this action.
Britany Spears was a headliner purely for the promotion of pepsi and football. It is a disgrace for corporate America to move in with the blessings of the Republican Party. Reps changed the rules to our National Momument for the first time in history.
Martin Luther King must be rolling over his his grave as they say.
This is more crass than paid nights in the Lincoln Bedroom.
At least it was their rightful living quarters they were handing to the high bidders!

With the election a little more than a year away, the chilling of debate and the distractions have already begun. This is going to be a big fight I think.

The only thing that was in the press over here was about how she had recently 'snogged' madonna. Hopefully the fight will be fair, not like last time!

Madonna gave her more than she was expecting!
Major publicity stunt, that was at an awards ceremony I believe.

yup, the MTV we dont like actual music we only want pictures of pretty boys and girls video Music(?) awards. Hopefully we will get some fair coverage on British media but looking at the other thread regarding the yikesing of the Bush thing (interest piqued will be looking on RCO to see if it can be found) Ihave my doubts. Perhaps al Jazeera will tell more of the truth?

That was a 'snog'? lets hope the tabloids one day see a real snog and realise what they saw was a publicity stunt to generate column inches. Which it did, the tabloids are so predictable!!

So what was wrong with using "french kiss"? Other than the french part of course. Hah!!
Tell me, are the English ever going to forgive the French for kicking them out of France?

Snog is just the word. Nuthin wrong with french kiss except that its just not used. Like if someone suggested that one use "manual earth restructuring implement" instead of spade, but spade is just the word we use.
