But suffice it to say that the is dead! It got eaten by s so Stu built a lego which has magicked itself alive and can now be seen riding like through the halls. And then the Nik camel stalking began and camels were everywhere and I went mad but the nice saved me and now we love camels, except me cos Cedric Camel ate my baby penguin and then I chopped off his head Star Wars stylie with a light sabre! And now Duck has promised Fluff a camel ride and just don't work any more!

Hi, I hope this is the correct place for this!

I've been searching, but I have an unresolved question.

I want to add a picture to one of my Guide entries.

I've worked out that I can only use images that are already there on the h2g2 graphics sites.

There is nothing in either of the two graphics sites that will be suitable for my posting.

Therefore I have designed a version of the artwork (the logo for the rock band Blue Öyster Cult)which I can affirm that I have created myself in Paintbrush and for which, therefore, copyright resides with me.

(As a point of fact, B.Ö.C's band logo is the astrological sign for the planet Saturn - something which any astrologer will tell you is already in the public domain, by virtue of it being common shorthand notation for one of the planets and which therefore predates the rock band and which, like any other symbol in common use, CANNOT be copyrighted)

How, then, do I upload this piece of work to the h2g2 graphics pages, ideally "Community Art", to be able to retrieve and use it on my Guide entry?

Please assist?

I heard it was announced at the meet that there would be some new smileys.

If this is true is there any chance of an "onsite" annoucement for those not at the meet. Also I would like to link to it on the "Campaign for New Smileys" thread.

I thought we'd already said that we wanted to do a new wave? We haven't announced it because there's nothing to announce - we'll announce it once we actually have the smileys.

Fair on Jim. Jou know how second hand informaiton goes.

A load of the "Bikey Smiley" crew seem to think that there was a big anouncement at the meet. Obviously we have a bit of "wrong end of the stick-age"

Some of the Community Artists are working on the Smileys. Once we have enough for a release, we'll approach the Development team to upload them, so although we're definitely working on a new batch, we can't announce when they'll be ready - which I did mention on Saturday.

It was very much an afterthought, by the way - an added thing to say, for those people who aren't across all the discussions on site about our plans for the future
