The whole point of thiss sight is that it's a laugh, mixxed with a bit of Fact. If you want the most powerful educational encyclopedia, then go and start your own.

I know how to get a few of the little yellow signs on.

but I want to know if there are any more.

On Zaphods girl's home page, she has a rotating Eye ball using what she said were simple HTML codes in Geocities, could you explain any more what she meant and how to make things like this.

Lastly how do we know whether our entries have been accepted or not.

TOTU

I can't talk for the Ruler of the Universe, or the Lord, as these seem to be concepts meaning something quite contrary to The Owner of the Universe. And if you really want to know, He is connected, and is operating under the psuedonym; Researcher 40714. Good Luck and happy hunting.

Holly's not mad.

Errrm, actually, the whole point of this site is to build the guide. If in the process we all have fun, then so much the better!

How do you do that??

Also, how do other people manage to get some kind of formating in thier user pages and I can't. A simple carriage return would be nice. What I type is most definately not what I see!

we have two people using the same p.c. we each have our own "nicknames". we each keep our home page in favorite places. problem....no matter which of us tries to go in, it only opens the page of whoever signed in last.(we have to re-register to get to our own site, which messes up the other one)is this fixable?

It will be fixed shortly, when we introduce passwords.

The majority of our users (and there's almost 10,000 of you smiley - smiley ) have exclusive access to a computer, so passwords are an annoying un-necessity.

However, we like to keep everyone happy, so we're putting in optional passwords to make sharing a computer less of a pain!

Sean.

Post 53

I know "un-necessity" isn't a real word, but neither was neologism until people started using it smiley - winkeye

I had the same problem, but had both netscape and explorer installed. So I use one, and my friend uses the other - they use different cookies so it all works. you may not want to spend x hours downloading another browser, but chances are you've got copies of both on old free cd from somewhere (i lose track of how many free isp cd's i collect...)

Neologism

Post 57

Sean

It means the introduction of new words. Syntactically, it's neo- (Greek, meaning new) and -logism (from the Greek logos, meaning words or thoughts).
