Well, I noticed you awarded yourself points in the "Who's Going To Win Competition" despite turning up the best part of a week late, so...

I didn't say you couldn't have a pools panel smiley - smiley

But I am just wondering why you didn't spot the dearth of other predictions in that thread smiley - laugh

And on another point Master B, you completely buggered up your selection for a potential 'Pools Panel' result.

You've given a selection for the Waterford game, which had kicked off before you posted. Yet have asked for a Pools Panel pick for the Colorado game that doesn't kick off until 02:00GMT on Sunday morning smiley - weird

However, now we have a situation which calls for some delicate ajudication. For the Waterford v Drogheda game you've got the match result, the scorer correct; plus the 1st scorer bonus taking a total of 4 points from that game. But as I said before you posted the selection _after_ the match had started and also after Murphy had scored the first goal.

Should I let your selection stand?

Hmm... tricky...

I think on balance the answer is yes, for the following reasons:
1) As you buggered up the selections so badly you obviously weren't paying proper attention, which kind of implies to me that you weren't seeking any unfair advantage smiley - winkeye
2) I myself didn't make life particularly easy by having three threads for this week's matches smiley - blush
3) You're usually so crap at this game that 4 points will be a welcome addition to your total smiley - laugh
4) It's only a game and it's supposed to be a bit of fun smiley - biggrinsmiley - ok

Oh, and your 'Pools Panel' pick for the American game is:

Colorado Rapids 0-2 New England Revolution

OK - this is the complete and honest truth. I (obviously) didn't know the Waterford v Drogheda match had kicked off, and - in addition - because the BBC website had not listed any names for the team members, I thought to myself "what's a fairly probable Irish name?"

Hence I managed to predict the first-scorer, without actually knowing whether or not there was a Murphy on either team.smiley - biggrin

Bonus point for being psychic?

Will disasters never cease?

Since setting the matches for this week I have discovered that the BBCi's Spanish league fixtures listings were wrong. There is no Real Sociedad v Atletico Madrid game on today. No, that is on next weekend!

Christ I'm annoyed smiley - cross

What I'll do is add the Real Sociedad game to the Week 6 list, and only have four games in the Week 5 listing smiley - erm

Whoops sorry, in all the fun and games over Master B's lucky guess with the Drogheda game, I clean forgot about Otto's Pools Panel picks.

Anyway, here they are smiley - smiley

Farum 1-0 Aab
Waterford 1-1 Drogheda Utd
FC Haka 0-0 TPS
Colorado Rapids 2-0 New England Revolution

... and no scorer points.
