*The Salvage Deck is littered with recovered parts. Huge cannons and other equipment recovered from the wreaked Pirate craft fill the room, as Engineers fight to make some use of it.*

What a mess! Is there actually anything usefull down here?

[Engineer] Yes sir, we found a Type XII Auto-loader for a Macro Cannon... and it seems to still be full of shells.

Okay, keep it separate, and we'll see about where to put it on the gun deck once we're ready for it.

Nerd42 materializes as usual, with lots of bangs and booms and all.
"Hey, I didn't know about this! Are all the engineers needed here? I had stuff for them to do to keep them busy in Engineering, but that can wait. Wow, I hope I didn't like, try to undermine the Captain ordering them to come over there. You know, there's an interesting strategy that one ship used once, beaming Engineers over to enemy vessels to sabatouge their engines. It was very effective, but the majority of the Engineers sent over died. They saved the ship though. I had that on the back of my mind during the pirate attack, but it's a last-resort kind of solution."
(to an Engineer)
"I don't care whether their engine is lousier than ours, I wanna look at it. We could possibly take it out and use it as a backup in case ours gets blasted, or it could give us that extra power that our reactors didn't during the battle."

Couldn't we rig it to deliver power directly to the weaponry? That would give us a lot more firepower.

*Nibel enters the deck, examening what they've found.*
[Nibel] We'll need to be quick in shifting this junk, they'll be plenty more once we enter the Graveyard. You have four hours. After that, this all gets blown into the void.
*Nibel examines an interesting piece of equipment, giving it a critical stare.*
[Nibel] Is this a Mk I Plasma Torpedo Warhead!? They didn't even have Torpedo tubes! Why would they have this!? Ah well, check it's safe and ship it into the Torpedo Room.
[Ratings] Yessir!
[Nibel] Thankyou. Now, Nerd42. Our first engagement clearly showed that our Engines are suffering. The Reactor's top-of-the-line, so it must be the fuel injectors. I don't think we've got any of use here, but the Starship Graveyard might... anyway, we're at full power now, so I hope we won't have a repeat performance...

I'm still not happy about the energy supply of the weapons.

Wargamer (The Wanderer) Posted Mar 21, 2003
[Nibel] Well some are ammunition based, so we can't help that... maybe we can salvage more powerful cannons...

Ralph, I was doing my best down there to get more power to the weapons. The Captain ordered me to send more to the shields though, and that's fine, he's in charge. When the Engineers are done here, though, they're gonna have alot of work to do....

Okay, okay, don't panic!

I don't. But my Engineers are being pretty slow. I'm not liking this, what if we were attacked? Oh wait, I think we are being attacked. Oh well.

Does it matter?
The Salvage Deck

I guess not. We're always being attacked.

(out of character, "Well. I wonder if Wargamer will ever come back online, or if that annoying battle stations siren will be making noise forever. Sigh.)

[Worker] Well, space battles can take a really long time...
Oh, and we're being borded in the Gundecks...
