my daughter (10) got me into the Scissor Sisters version. Up to the time she got the CD and played it to death I was very anti.
Then she said "but mum, it's one of your favourite songs, and my favourite bands, if we play it we both get something we like"

I still prefer the Floyd version, but I guess the scissor sisters were pretty brave to do something different with the song.
