Krewe of H2G2: The Happy Campers

A street festival

In February 2002 the first Krewe of H2G2 Mardi Gras parade was launched from the Campsite. The parade route was a lap of most of the Campsite.There were several floats, music, and other forms of entertainment. Beads, doubloons, and trinkets were thrown from the floats as is the Mardi Gras tradition. One tradition was not adhered to...no one had to flash for beads.
The second Mardi Gras season celebrated by the Krewe of H2G2 is 2003. If you would like to join us and celebrate Carnival season H2G2 style just post below.

    • Float as described by Bob: "The float is in the shape of a big dragon in traditional Mardi Gras colours, with big wide wings. On the back of the dragon are princes and pincesses, fairies, knights, wizards, and all manner of fairy story paraphernalia which looks like it may fall over at any moment, but never does. All very flashy and pretty...."

    Bagheera Wearing purple and gold ribbons joined the procession to provide music and refreshments...
