I used to have a couple of anoles. They caused me severe psychological difficulties.
Don't ask.

They are little lizards. I believe that they are abundant in the South Eastern states?....They are naturally green, but they turn brown if they are sick or stressed. Despite what you usually hear about chameleons, which that they change colour to blend in with the enviroment, it's actually more likely that it based on their moods.

Actually they turn brown even when healthy for camofladge reasons and other reasons, such as temperature, emotion, and backround coloration. And they live all the way up to Tennesse really. They are that cold resistant. They only turn brown to green and green to brown. I've caught the little guys before. And there are different types of them, the one's we are tlaking about is the Green Anole, aka Anolis Carolinisis (I misspelled that last word) and there is a known subspecies.
