My sister borrowed some off-air recordings of the first radio series (and the christmas special) from a friend of hers and gave them to me, because I liked science fiction. I listened to them non-stop for months, and have been a fan ever since. I recorded the second series when it was broadcast, taped the audio of the TV series (because we didn't have a video recorder) basically did all the fanboy things. Which includes getting a job working for Douglas Adams. smiley - smiley

Are there legitmate copies of the series availible? I live on the West coast of Canada and H2G2 is less than well known. I missed much of the radio series and would love to fill in the blanks. I have read all the books but I'm sure there would be substantial differences.

I missed all of the radio series.

In fact all of my friends here the states think the book was the first, and sometime only, thing about HHGTTG.

If anyone could help me find a recording, it would be greatly appreciated!

The BBC sell CDs and tapes of the radio series, available from "all good stockists". You might have to order from a UK outlet like amazon.

tapes:

CDs:

Remember, I got my bootlegs in 1978, long before they became officially available. Then I bought the tape collection. Then the CD collection, which I got Douglas to sign. Unfortunately, the only pen we had in the office at the time was a dry-wipe marker, so I have to be very careful not to wipe the autographs off the discs. smiley - smiley
