There were three times i got hooked to the "Hitch-Hiker".
At first is saw it on TV in the mid-80's. That time i wasn't in SciFi but i liked the style of special effects. A year or so later i didn't thought about them any more.
Some years later i heard the last episodes (five + six, probably four) on radio - they were translated into german. But - i don't know why - they popped out of mind.
At the last years on high school a friend gave me the first book - since then i was finaly hooked. So - finally - i bought the books step by step.
I red all books by d.adams since then, the Guide, the Gently-novels and - all the others. When i bought the original radio-series on CD i realised that the german radio-version has additional dialouges, thats why they are 20 minutes longer than the english version.
The h2g2-site i found after reading a newspaper-artikle about it.
As my mother tongue is not english i have one question: is there a deeper meaning of "Lentilla"? I don't get it myself.
greetings,
d.
