hi dave i was touched by what you wrote i too was in a similar situation when i discovered ld purely by accident andi met someone of there and am now living with him if u wanna drop me a line please do and we can maybe chat a little more

hi i hope you dont mind me writing to you but its just to let people see a lot of good in chat rooms
i to met a man in l d and he used to come and visit me but he isnt able now as hes been ill but we still phone each other
then i met another man in ld he comes up every couple of months to see me we get on great so it isnt all bad people its only a few that gives it a bad name if your careful its a life line for some take care jinty

i agree wholeheartedly with your comments about the chat rooms. i was using LD for nealry three years, before the stupidity of telepest taking it offline.

ive had my fair share of the idiots and the perverts and ive seen some real good arguments going on, it was fun to watch them in full flow..
ive also made some real close friends who have been there for me, in my hours of need.
ive had more than enough tears(one close friend died prematurely from pneumonia).
but on the whole, ive had so many laughs, ive been sat here in hysterics. its a wonder that the neighbours havent had me certified..

chatrooms have been given a bad press because of the minority, who have tried to make it sleazy and ruin it for those who have found nothing but good from the experience.

chatrooms have shown me that my lifestyle isnt right(see 'escaping abuse' for my story) and that the ouside world isnt anything like what i have to live with.
they allow me to be the person i want to be, not the person, im expected to be.
i have made some really nice friends who have been there for me, in my hours of need. for whom im eternally grateful.(..)

i would dearly love to get out and meet some of these people, but the man of my nightmares doesnt approve and it makes things difficult.
but one day...........

until then, i shall make the most of this opportunity to use the chat rooms. yoome excluded..lol.

i too was an ld user i was really mad when telewest took it off now they expect u to pay for yoome its ok but not as good as ld hi to all old ld users
