There are numbered (= ordered) and un-numbered lists.

this will be number 1
this will be number 2

this will be a bullet point
this will be another bullet point

Perhaps those are the sort you want.

In real HTML the ordered list can have different type options. The one you want would be:

list item marked 'a'
list item marked 'b'

I haven't tested that in GuideML though.

& if the "type=" thing doesn't work you can just use unordered lists & input the letters at the start of the recognised text. ie:

a) 1st bit
b) 2nd bit
...

They'll be preceded by bullets but they should still align correctly.

& going back to HTML (sorry, this'll be the last time, honest smiley - smiley) How do you align images in CSS? Does "text-align" do the job, even though it's not really "text"?

smiley - erm The 2 things are slightly separate. In HTML you would say

but only really need the quotes round LEFT and / in GuideML and similar.

If you are also including an explicit CSS file or block, of course those definitions will affect the HTML. The text-align property is meant to cover block level tags such as . Since an IMG can go in a paragraph it will affected to some extent merely by being there. However, you should probably be looking more at box properties such as margin-left and margin-right. The default or auto settings are to make the image centred.

Apologies to everyone else for whom that last bit was completely irrelevant. You can quite happily ignore it without worrying because you don't need it here. smiley - biggrin
