kow ive got a problem ive got too much writing on my guideml i think everytime i try to edit the page jumps and i cant get to the end of my guideml i wanted to put a link on my dropdown menu ive removed some pictures so i dont think ive ran out of space

right can anybody help me please.

when trying to do my new page in guideML i've been having probs with it as i was using the smiley codes that worked the last time but now when i try and use them it says they start with an illegal character also it wont let me add anymore pics between my paragraphs as it say's bad closing element when i try to do them.

the smiley code i was given the last time is < SMILEY TYPE"USE NUMBER"> without the spaces. so what am i doing wrong this time?

Hi angelvixen, you're not closing them. Smiley codes should be:
<SMILEY TYPE="ale"/>

I also suspect the same with your picture codes, which should be:

In plain text < winkeye > without the spaces becomes

In GuideML you need <SMILEY TYPE="winkeye" /> and the space between SMILEY and TYPE must be there.

The numbering thing applies to PICTURE blobs not smileys.

stef and kow but the top picture worked on my new page it's just that if i want to add another picture between paragraphs that's when it wont let me and also do i have to have the = sign in the smiley code?

If you write the code you've got for the pictures, we'll be able to see where you're going wrong.

this is what i put without the spaces < PICTURE EMBED="CENTER" BLOB-"B-----"/> and even though i know it's right as my top pictures worked then why wont these ones?

Angel: No, you shouldn't need to, if you switch over to plain text and type the codes up, I'll come and see where the errors are.

You shouldn't actually need a between paragraphs. Normally you would use it within a paragraph to force a new line. However, you do need a to start a new paragraph. Mostly I just put everything in a TABLE so things go where I want them in rows and columns.

well i've already done my new page to a certain degree kow and i don't fancy having to switch it all to plain skin and then re-doing it
