Same problems we knew about, see the posts on this thread!
1, we are no longer going as a group, we are going as individuals - we all just happen to know where everyone comes from.
2, Do we really need to all congregate in the same area? If they are going to be that 
y about things, perhaps smaller groups camped together would be wiser. Once we get to the pub/park we can all meet up.

and can i suggest that during this years trip someone look around for a more friendlier campsite. i would like to go to this one year and would hate to think that it would have to involve tip toeing around the site.

The problem is, that most of the other campsites in the area seem to be the same, or very small - catering mostly for touring caravans rather than tents. This was the one which was least strictly run, until this year. I don't know what changed, maybe they had problems over the summer or perhaps the site has changed hands...
Maybe we will have to rethink for next time - if there is a next time.
