Making comments like that should be considered *extremely* dangerous, especially for prospective s who don't yet have *their own* wings...

The "sorty out guy" (guess that's me then???) is slogging through a load of old tosh which you lot have shoved up on the thread set up to give you information. Did anyone read it, or act upon it?

I can tell you that if you mail the Staffordshire Tourist Info Board requesting a brochure (Short Breaks with Long Memories 2003), they will send you one within a few days with no charge. DO THIS NOW, or risk having to pay full price for the 2 days.

The Star still seems to be the most suitable of campsites, there are only 7 listed in the brochure, one of which says "Just for adults" so I'd guess they'd turn us down point blank. Another offers only 8 tent pitches & three more have no tent spots at all.

There are still two other options, which I will be checking out this week, but for accessibility they look a lot further out than The Star.

I will get back to you here very soon, but I half expect to be re-a firming that you will all have to book your own pitch.

I called the Campsite and they said single tents don't have to book, just turn up at the reception.

yeah. do you mean one man tents. or one tent of any size.

He didn't say, but I think he means the small 2/3 man tents

we should get away with 2 of us in a 4 man though? i hope so..

We're just not going to give them the chance to say we can't.

I say who ever gets there 1st heads for the area with the most space available, probably up in the top field is safest, and we'll all meet up there.
