Still haven't got my head around all the bizarre oddities of the politics of this one. Last I heard the Spanish were blaming it all on Gibralter, presumably because the tanker sailed past there ocasionally or something.

Apologies for delayed response. I had not subscribed to the Post version of this page and had not seen your posting.
It turns out the French have a sub with (presumably) French Doors and even double-glazed French Windows. I saw some neat pictures on tv last weekend of long black tendrils of oil snaking thru the sea...
These may or not be real images, the French are famous for abstract art.
