h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

The room is rather large and airy. There are four walls (as most rooms have,) and each is painted a different colour. The one nearest the door is the pale green of pepermint tea, the one to the night of it is a pale spring green, the next (the one housing the great bay window) is painted sage green, and the last well is painted a muted cerulean blue.

A futon sits near the spring green wall, blankets folded neatly on top of it. Near the bed the window is open, the light sea breeze playing throug and slightly disturbing the gauzy white curtains.

There is a book case, painted various shades of blue, and filled with books by Gaima, Adams, and Pratchett (only the great modern writers of the world will do for JJ's bookshelf. ).

There is a trunk, painted a very pale pink, with a tarnished silver lock, and matching silver hinge covers.

Over the wood floor (and placed slighty at an angle) is an oriental rug. It is mostly maroon in colour, with a type of odd roundish paisley pattern playing across it.

*Pokes head around door*

Mmm, I like it. Very tranquil. Makes a refreshing change after the BoE, which is resembling a train station these days. Wonder how miffed she'd be if I went rooting through the sock drawer? Better content myself with the bookcase.

*Picks out American Gods, leafs through to find favourite bits*

Hmm. So you like Gaiman, do you? I had that very book put on reserve two years before its release. Gaiman is a god.

Anwyay, yes, if you touch my socks, you'll probably suffer a very long and agonising death, but that's mroe or less your choice, isn't it? Coincadentally, that's why I'm here.

*She walks to her closet (which was prviously unmentioned, because it is, aftera ll, a closet,) and opens the door. Legion can hear a slight russtling noise, and then Jade comes back out clutching a pair of black and white striped socks. She walks to her futon and sits down, and then pulls the socks on. They go just slightly over her knee. She hugs her knees to her chest and grins.*

So, shall we hide here for a while? I mean, at least until the BoE calms down a bit?

Not a bad idea. Could we get drinks sent in? Ramune, you like that don't you? Just an impression I've gotten, don't ask me where...

*Nails planks across the door, installs a small motion detector system above the window*

And yes, I suppose we could call down for ramune. Just pick up that phone there *points at it* and ask the robotic room service.

Is your AIM working? 'Cause mine seems to be on the blink...

Well ... Yes, mine is working fine. Is your AIM open, but my name isn't showing up? Just try and IM me without your buddy list or something. Like, do it manually. Or log off from AIM completely and then start it back up again. (I was wondering where you were...)

No, doesn't seem to be working. I got an error message when I logged on first, telling me my buddy list was unavailable, and some other error too... Sorry, looks like no chat tonight.

In the 'Waiting About' thread, YS has just knocked you unconscious and invited me to help bring you in and collect the bounty. Now, I'd be willing to go along with that and act as your captor until we're in the Terran HQ, then help you cause a little chaos in there. Whaddya say? I could be a decoy bounty hunter, like Leia in Return of the Jedi

I bring you into the Terranian courtroom to stand trial, then I untie you, we hijack the place, set off this little thermo-nuclear cutie and leg it. Sheer anarchy. How can you refuse an opportunity like that?

Perhaps we should wait until JJ consents before proceeding with the plan; she does have rather a vital role in it.

You both suck. Hira cuilë. *She sticks out her ongue at them, grabs a copy of Stardust off her shelf, turns to a random page and begins to get extremely interested in the goings on of that Tristran Thorn chap and his sparkly girlfriend.*

*Whisper to YS* I think she wants to be alone for a while, work through her rage etc. We should be sensitive...

*Stumps over to JJ and stands over her, whistling aimlessly and blocking her light*
