FWR:

Low contrast merges the banner into the scene. Stark shot softened by the grey tones. These signs do tend to blend into the backgrounds in our everyday lives.

DG:

This sign took me back to the old blue highway days of my childhood, where a roadside sign was as likely to say 'Burma Shave' as 'Prepare to Meet Thy God'. Black-and-white makes all manner of statements.

The tax inspector has a similar recipe for cosmic harmony. Just remove the "R".

It is in fact an attempt to reinvigorate the church going community in the UK. There was a similar movement several years back. It is also a subliminal message to drivers on the A9, the main road to the North of Scotland, when faced with some of the insane driving up here. For instance a woman posted about this today on Facebook, when her husband had to pull onto the side of the road because somebody coming from the opposite direction, tried to overtake six other cars. This is suicidal ignorance.
