I’m impressed again that you’ve captured so much detail, even the hairs on its legs
I’m not sure what species of Odonata it is, but I like that dark green colour very much

Dragonflies are flying jewels. It's been said that some of them stay in the air for the rest of their lives once they've emerged from their cocoons. I'm skeptical of that, as most dragonflies I've seen have eventually perched on something. Maybe they sense that I enjoy looking at them, so they stay in one place long enough to be admired.
I think that the dragonfly in the photo trusts you, Tav. I would take that as a compliment.

There were dragonflies before there were any dinosaurs. The dinosaurs are long gone, and the dragonflies are still here. I would call that impressive!
