It does look like deepest jungle. The plants seem to be coming to get us. smiley - yikes

But I'm hazarding a guess - either somewhere in South West England or Sheffield Park gardens in Sussex?

Evidently there are alien plants that are every bit as scary as little green men. smiley - yikessmiley - run

Hullo me luvs! Thanks!

I wasn't sure how the pic was going to look, all properly presented in the Post. smiley - rofl.

I'm pleased, so thanks! smiley - kiss

It was taken in fact on the planet Monochrome Yearning Just Beyond The Borderline.

Oh cc, that's so stupid smiley - rofl.

OK so it was taken in The Jungle which is part of The Lost Gardens Of Heligan, nr Mevagissey in Cornwall. A very magical place.

I set my camera to black and white by mistake, smiley - rofl, but decided that I liked monochrome images, so stayed there for a while. It's the b/w light reflections, they remind me of home, just beyond the Borderline.

What Borderline????

OK OK I'm going smiley - runsmiley - offtopic

I got back a little after 1:00 p.m. yesterday (Sunday).

The flight home was a marvel of hospitality. I got everything I asked for, with the exception of an alternative to the cramped seating that was making my knees ache smiley - sadface.

But as for food and drink, there was more than I could have hoped for. They never ran out of cranberry juice. Supper was chicken chasseur (hunter's chicken, which makes you think of staking wild hens i n the woods somewhere) with orange veggies and corn salad and mango/passion fruit pudding. Then they brought an eskimo pie on a stick. Later still, they brought a chocolate bar. And just before landing we had chicken salad sandwiches.

So, what with sitting cramped in an interior seat for seven hours, and being overfed, I now need to lose a couple of pounds.

I think I will work off the extra weight just tying up loose ends around the house and yard now that I'm back.

And, I will say that it is glorious to be back. decisions, decisions, though! The red-stick Dogwood in front of my oil tank is about half dead. Can it be separated so the dead parts can be disposed of? I could take the new shoots (called suckers) and plant them in a big planter.

It's time to plant seeds. I've just picked up some long planters and garden soil. I will mix potting soil and garden soil in a 50/50 mix, fill three planters, and then plant seeds. White coneflower seeds in one planter, Rudbeckia Fulgida seeds in another, and Early Sunrise Coreopsis in the third. Remember, this is what I get the big bucks for! smiley - biggrin

This is splendid, paulh. And glad you got home safe. Cranberry juice and lots of salad! I remember from Saturday that you like cranberry juice and salad. So aren't you glad I called the airline and asked them to treat you like a Lord?

Actually I didn't, but they knew to anyway.

Thanks, Cactuscafe. I was very very lucky that it all went so well, and that I only got lost four times.
