You've given us a lovely photo of your Bakewell tart.
Though I'm not sure about the pink things in the heart. I hope they were edible.
Personally, I've found it difficult to photograph food (even without the hazard of eating it first.) You need to remove unassociated clutter and make sure the light is in the right direction.

Thanks me luv! I think it was just a fluke, with the pretty tablecloth and all. We ate it a few minutes later, so I didn't have time to think about the pic setup. My niece ate the heart shaped sweetie, she seems to be still OK.
And thanks Mister D for the history of the Bakewell tart, which I didn't know. hahah. I like being of the Suzie Q tradition.

Is it an apple and lemon tart?

That is a great photo - the pastel colours all together are very pleasing! I prefer Bakewell Tart with the fondant icing and the chocolate stripes on, but the combination of almond flavour with just a bit of jam is delicious too

mmm hungry now for icing with chocolate stripes.
I've never had apple and lemon bakewell, just regular bakewell. I didn't know you could get apple and lemon.
