As always, your shots are happpy reminders that there is hope that thi boring whiteness is only temporary and that greenery awaits patiently underneath. Thanks for sharing these with us! It really cheers me up.smiley - biggrin

heheh yes, Eletra and DG could use any memories of greenery, or any colour other than snowy white right now.

Lovely landscape, Bob, I like the linear flow, not like straight hard lines, but flowing lines, the fence, then the green, then the yellow, then the trees then the hills. I'm really into the fence, in fact, sort of draws the eye in. And the blue haze of those hills in contrast to the sharper colours. Ah yes.

I'm trying to figure out the time of day the photo was taken. And the air temperature and geeky things like that. smiley - geek I do this sometimes, pretending I know how to sense these things, all from a photo, but I never get it right. smiley - rofl

Its my way of entering a photo though, see how many senses wake up.

Caiman raptor elk - Inside big box, thinking.

I had a Windows XP moment right there. Mainly due to the greens. (This is meant to be a compliment)

Did you know that the Bliss background of Windows XP is (claimed to be)an unedited analog photo taken by Charles O'Rear in 1996? The location has been turned into a vineyard since then, so reproduction is not possible anymore.

Back to your photo:
I like it. The layers, the dark clouds so grey they start getting blue again, the yellow contrast.

Hi Caiman raptor elk, I had no idea that about the Bliss background, thanks for your comments, big change in 20+ year, are there a before and after shots available?

Thank you for your comments it is always helpful to find out why people like any image, it indicates the way to different effects. I am not a fan of filters that change the colour, so the image is true.

Thanks again good to hear from you, smiley - biggrin
