h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

So we were 3 adults, a teen, and a 9-year-old in a 17 foot travel trailer. Fortunately, during the week, the girls were in school much of the day, and Tom and Tim were exploring the area. I was usually back at the trailer, as we couldn't leave the dogs unsupervised. Even with me there, G (half Jack Russel, half chihuahua) (and no, I'm not censoring a name for his protection--that's actually his name) slipped his collar/harness/escaped out of a car window a few times and had fried chicken and burgers at other campsites I'd generally go into town with them to pick the girls up, though, as there was no cell service, and I was the point of contact for the realtor and the loan person, which led to some rather urgent messages as the days went on. Things kept going wrong and delaying the process, and there were some trust issues going on, as well. In the end, we were at the campsite (fortunately, with water and electrical hookups) for the entire 2 week limit plus a couple of days (I think, being so close to the end of the season, the limit wasn't as big of a deal)--taking us 2 days to the season's close.

Wow... Extra challenges indeed... Sounds like G enjoyed it very much, though
