THAT was FAB.

The Swingle Singers have been around since the early 60's in one form or another and although what they do is rather dated, the joy on the faces of their audience on the tube made me smile big.

You can call me TC

It amazed me that Swingle was a real name?!

According to that Guardian article

"Ward spent an inordinate amount of time proving that his name really was Swingle. It derived from the Swiss name Zwingli."

Martin Honeysett, cartoonist. I will miss his cartoons in Private Eye.

I can't find a link on the BBC News website but Private Eye tweeted an RIP a few hours ago and there is an obituary on the Telegraph website:

arghhh... posted too early - through that I went back through Aphrodite's Child and got into them in a much bigger way than was strictly healthy for an 18 year old.

*sigh* have you seen the obituary for Colleen McCollough? a Neurophysicist at Yale and a best selling novelist. And yet the 2nd sentence of her obit in The Australian* was: plain of feature, and certainly overweight she was, nevertheless, a woman of wit...

*who owns that these days?

It's not my genre, but my mum loved the Thorn Birds in the novel and on TV, as I'm sure millions did. Clearly she was a very talented author whose stories adapted well - and that's a rare gift.

Whoever wrote that obit in The Australian needs one of your slaps, Sho.

TV presenter, Producer and genuinely good bloke.

Although he died on the 19th of Jan, it has taken until now for the press to catch up.
