My local MP and her hubby (also an MP) can each claim the same amount of allowances for the same house in London

It's a real shame that Cameron's 'we're all in this together' pledge is so completely and consistently undermined by the extent to which MPs look after themselves. Pay rises, benefits, expenses, it all looks terrible. It's that, in a way, more than the actual spend which is so bad.
