Looking through the eye of childhood
Created | Updated Feb 29, 2012
Childhood. We've all had one. Some of us barely ever leave. Others of us are reliving our glory days though our own children. Or perhaps we feel as though we were born 45. Whatever our experience looking though the eye of childhood is the theme for March's Creative activities.

What follows are suggestions; feel free to colour outside the lines.
The Edited Guide welcomes childish themes. Is your favourite author or TV show represented? The craze of your youth? Do you have any advice about how to survive school? Alternatively, can you offer support to those dealing with children?
Your journal is the perfect place to revel in fond childhood memories, or indulge your delight in someone else's.
Got an idea for a children's storybook? Are you the next JK Rowling? Is your protagonist a child? The Alternative Writing Workshop is a good place to send any childhood-inspired stories or poems you might care to spin this month. And there's also our 42-word story challenge, still ongoing. This month the theme is 'fairy stories'.
Last but not least, we must not forget visual or audiovisual submissions. This month's theme is perfect for eleasing that innner child and breaking out the sticky backed plastic and empty toilet roll holders. Crafting does not have to be the preserve of the young! Or perhaps it does. Feel free to treat h2g2 as your personal kitchen fridge and send us links to what your children have been up to. In particular, perhaps they could help us out with 42-themed pictures for our ongoing photography exhibition?
The Post, h2g2's newspaper, would also welcome submissions on a childhood related theme. Contact them and submit your offering.
