Alright gentlemen, here's the scoop.
First, you have to have a Yahoo ID, so if you haven't registered with them already, do so first.
Then, go here: http://football.fantasysports.yahoo.com/f1
Join an existing custom league. Make sure you are going to Fantasy Football, which is the free game, and not Fantasy Football Plus, where it will ask you for money.

I made one scoring tweak. I like the RB/WR flex position from last year because it leaves us with a lot of variations, but starting RBs are usually worth quite a bit more than starting WRs, so anyone with a spare RB has a huge advantage. In an effort to close that gap, I've made receptions worth one point.
This could have the opposite effect, since running backs would get that point as well, inflating their value. Good idea, bad idea, or indifferent? Your thoughts, please.

The Devon Drawers are ready for action jsut as soon as they get the harvest in.
Now to go sort out by draft order preferences.

As for the reception point.
Not all RB are point men when it comes to receptions so it will only affect the few who are great decoys and get clear in the back fied on a regualr basis. I say go for it.

I'm going to have to pass on the Fantasy League this year, I'm afraid.. Already got two of them going, and I'm afraid that if I were to get more than those two teams to try and sort out, I'd neglect one, if not all, of them.

This is my second draft & trade team, and I have three salary cap teams.

First announced, last in? We've got everyone signed up but Sharkie.
Alright, guys, when do you want to draft? I was thinking since we are full early (or will be, shortly), we could hold the draft a couple weeks early, to give everyone some time to anguish over their draft results and try to con their opponents into bad trades.
Is August 15th enough time for everyone to get their rank lists finished for the draft? Or would you guys rather have some time to watch preseason developments first?

If I'm going to make my usual c**k-up, I'd like the chance to try and make some sort of recovery.

Greetings gang, count me in I'll log on a home tonight and sign up.
Its a right royal pain in the ass, work have put a application called "Websense" on the internet, that blocks games.
Not only can I not see the Yahoo Fantasy site,(but can see the rest of Yahoo) it's also blocked NFLUK.com saying thats a "Games" filtered website also.
Luckily they haven't uncovered H2G2 yet,so I'm safe (for now!!)

Officially i can't access h2g2 or the BBC sports pages, but as they like to be able BBC news they have to keep the front door open. You should be safe.
I'm registered and done.

Ok, Sharkie is in, as is Thunderbears.
Unfortunately, this leaves us with a new difficulty. We now have an odd number of teams, and Yahoo won't let us draft without an even number. If somebody knows someone else who would like to join, let's get them in ASAP. If we don't have another member in a week, I'll create another logon and make it draft an all-loser team.

Can we call that the H2G2 Bungles then?
Fantasy Football Season Time
Blatherskite the Mugwump - Bandwidth Bandit Posted Aug 17, 2004
Sure. And we can make it draft all Cardinals.
Better yet, it can be the All-Felony Team, starring crackhead Quincy at QB, pothead Ricky and inmate Jamal at RB...

I case anyone cares for even more FF.
I've got a league set up on Yahoo and I'm looking for more teams.
22 man roster,9 men each way and 3 on the bench.
Scores are weighted so Defense is just as important as Offense.
Playoffs are the last 3 weeks of the regular season.
ID# is 424895,password sweetness.
I've played this game the last 3 years, this year the commissioner has gone AWOL.
Once I've offered up to you guys, and friends & family,I'll be making up by listing it in the directory,by email applications only, just to keep it sweet.

We've got the tenth member of our league. Easy Pickings has been set up to draft the worst roster in history. Starting with Ricky Williams.
I'll be setting the league to Draft Ready status on Thursday. That gives anyone who hasn't taken the time to set up their rank lists a final opportunity to do so. Good luck, gentlemen.

If anyone reads this in the next couple of hours, could they copy and paste into an excel sheet the Yahoo rankings for me.
I know we're not supposed to include email addresses but if they could send to me ROBIN.RANCE @ work which is NETWORKRAIL,which is a CO based in the UK,I'd be most grateful.
Thanks
