Amfoot Trivia Question 0005
Researcher Eagle 1 Posted Nov 20, 2002
I'm in telesales (different than telemarketing... I only call on established or older accounts). So I multitask, especially when on hold.
And being on CST in the US, that means I'm on from 2PM-11PM London time. And I've been distracted by work during stretches of time, so I'm not always on H2G2. But I do try to keep up when I can.
-Eagle 1
P.S. I may have to disqualify myself because a coworker saw what I was typing and gave methe answer to one of the two remaining draft picks.

Correct Eagle 1. I'll leave it up to others to decide if you should be disqualified
Any guesses on the remaining player... or would you all like a clue?

Sorry about the delay but that last hour is my travelling home from work, eating dinner (although we call it tea in my part of the world... but that's another debate altogether) and spending a bit of time with my kids hour.
Actually, the boys are with me now, I'm holding one, and so typing this one handed, whilst the other is trying to sabotage this message - I've pressed the delete key more than all the others put together in the last five mins

Thanks Supreme being someone got Miller. I'd remembered his first name was Anthony about 2 hours ago but it wasn't ringing any bells. He was the one I was thinking of when I said the Seattle guy went to the Broncos or Chargers! Got a bit confused I guess ...
So last one to go eh? By process of elimination and possible memory recall I reckon no.6 to either New Orleans. Quinn Early is about the only person I can think of ...
Amfoot Trivia Question 0005
FiedlersFizzle Posted Nov 20, 2002
Nope, Quinn was a 2nd or maybe even a 3rd rounder - do you guys want a clue yet? (or a chance to check your stats books?)
Amfoot Trivia Question 0005
Bright Blue Shorts Posted Nov 20, 2002
Well if we're going to have a clue, can we have something not too obvious such as:
How many years did he last?
How many teams did he play for?
Amfoot Trivia Question 0005
FiedlersFizzle Posted Nov 20, 2002
Okay, I'll do my best but this guy was definately the Todd Blackledge of the bunch.
6 year career, first 5 years with his original team, one other team in his final year.
Another WR was drafted by this team a few rounds later and had a much bigger impact in the NFL
Amfoot Trivia Question 0005

LA Rams? Willie "Flipper" Anderson?
Amfoot Trivia Question 0005
Researcher Eagle 1 Posted Nov 20, 2002
Anderson was around longer, I thought. But if it's the Rams in that time period, what about Aaron Cox?
Amfoot Trivia Question 0005
Bright Blue Shorts Posted Nov 20, 2002
Blocks I think ur right. 24th pick if my memory serves me right.
Just been looking up the Class of '88 wideouts (assuming it was Cox). These are their regular season stats:
--------------(Games - Recs - Yds - TDs)
Tim Brown 208 937 13237 95
Michael Irvin 159 750 11904 65
Anthony Miller 155 595 9148 63
Sterling Sharpe 112 595 8134 65
Wendell Davis 92 211 3023 14
Aaron Cox 82 102 1732 8
And of course little Timmy Brown is still playing, and I'm sure there are a few kick return/rushing TDs in there as well.
I always reckon Sterling Sharpe was the best of the bunch, and would now have been had his back held out.
