A Conversation for H2G2 Presidential Meet

I am planning to have some tees made up for attendees at the meet. So, I'll need everyone's sizes. I don't want to have to guess. And I don't want to have to order more that we actually need.
You realize that these tee shirts will be prized collector's items. That's another good reason to attend the meet.

Standard American men's sizing? If so, large for me and XL for Mr M.
What's this I keep hearing about the pins or badges at the London meetup? Can we get us some of those?

I'm not sure what the story is on the badges. I can certainly have some made up. That won't be a problem. And I've been thinking of buying one of those little machines to make your own pins to use with kids programs. I'll check with Tuechter or Mr. D to find out what sort of pins and badges they had at the last meet. I sort of think they may have made their own.

One other thing. I am thinking of gray for the shirts. Is that going to be ok with everyone? Does anyone out there hate gray?

I recommend any color that doesn't clash too badly with barbecue sauce....

Large woks for me.
D'ye know they have an 'extra medium' size?...

Hummmmmm. Wonder if they have a reddish brown shirt available. And I have never heard of an "extra medium".

Assuming American sizes are the same as the British ones, I'm a large. My chest measurement is 42" anyhow.
I wonder if there's any mileage in you asking the BBC for some badges and stuff. I'm pretty sure we wangled some at a couple of the FC&MS&SC meets. Got an h2g2 mouse mat right here.

Hi Bagpuss. The tees I bought in England seemed to be the same size as the US ones. Except I fouled up and bought a child's size L for one instead of an adult size. As to wrangling souvenirs from the BBC, I don't think their budget has any wiggle room for things like that right now.
You were at the London Meet. Did you make your own badges?

Some people wore home-made badges, but apparently not enough to justify having a badger competition (badger - one who makes a badge). There were also official badges from Auntie Beeb.

I'll ask Jimster about providing the badges then as soon as we know how many are coming. But I'm sure they won't spring for tee shirts.

XXL for me, and I don't think I'll have any tag-alongs.
