I would have added A704378.
It has the GuideML code for a bunch of tables and badges that one can be put on one's home screen. All you have to do is copy the text and change the motto. I find it useful.

To create the who's online link just add this guide ML to your space:
Who is online
You can replace the words Who is online with whatever text you want to be used as the link. To create other links use the same code just change the words in ""'s to the page number (including A, U etc.).
Hope that helps, if you have any more problems just ask

...what one should do if one wishes to write for the Guide?
They're a bit dry, but what about Writing-Beginners, the Writing-Guidelines and PeerReview?
Also, to promote my own personal hobby horse, writing a little bit about where one comes from can be a good way to start - and newbies are always very welcome at A1286886... as are ACEs!
Cheers,

Glad to be of service
Another very useful resource for someone wanting to write for the Guide is Mikey the Humming Mouse's help page 'Hitchhiking Your Way Into the Edited Guide', at A1355195.
And an interesting one is our founder's vision for the future of this site, which is substantially different to the way things turned out, but I think I prefer his version... A550955
