Hemaphroditic? Gills? Improved white blood cells? Better adaptation to temperature differential? Second eyelids to filter out increased UV?
I'll take the lot. (Well maybe not the sex thing....)

As long as no-one decided to genetically be changed to look like Michael Jackson. Or any other alien.

I think any change would be acceptable unless it radically changed your appearance. You could tell who got the gills because they would all be wearing turtlenecks!
I suppose the second eyelid people would all have sunglasses.

Interesting. I want mine to go sideways, because you would be able to see something there I am sure and it would definitely startle people!

What would you like new, genetically? I still think the improved white blood cells would be the most practical.

I read somewhere that if the immune system is too high it starts to attack good cells! They would have to be very careful I suppose. Hey, one day I would like to meet *them*- we all talk about them all the time!
I love to swim so the gills would be great, along with webbed feet and hands I suppose, as long as you could use them practically out of water.

Dr Anthea - ah who needs to learn things... just google it! Posted Feb 8, 2003
yes i see your point
it would be good to have them but could yuo still survive out of water
we dont want to end up whith a group of aquarian humans
unless of corse it is thair choice to be like that.....
i like swiming as well so the gills are a good idea
i dont think i would go for the webbed feet though

Have you swum with flippers? It would be a little like that, and think about it, you wear shoes most of the time anyway so who would know? One of my favourite things is swimming laps at my gym underwater. It is ozonated rather than chloronated so I can keep my eyes open. A lot like when I was little a growing up by the ocean. You couldn't keep me out of the water then. My sisters called me a *Waterbaby*.
