"sometimes I give myself the creeps. Sometimes my mind plays tricks on me. It all keeps adding up, I think I'm cracking up."
This greenday song is becoming my personal anthem. I hear it in my sleep. It is background music at my weddings. Sometimes it gives me the creeps how much like me it is.
Not that I think I am crazy, but that I think everyone loses their mind on a regular bases. Not regular as in, at specific predestined times, but as in you-get-plenty-of-bran regular.
At work I get extremely busy from time to time and singing helps me stay focused. I do not hum, or whistle but sing out loud. Very loud. So loud in fact that often I hear guest on the other side of the cafe singing along with me.(It is quite possible I suppose that they are singing so as to not here my wretched voice also.)
"Basketcase" is the only one I sing though. And this is not just of late, but roughly six years. Which works out to about 2 wives 2 children, 6 different jobs, 67 employees, 12 supervisors and inumerable amount of customers.
It goes away when I take my little pink pill.

My bad habit is walking along, fully believing that I'm singing in my head. Then, while trying to work out why everyones staring at me, I realise I'm singing out loud. And its usually something REALLY annoying, like Steps or S Club 7!

Can you imagine walking the streets singing 'REACH FOR THE STARS...' the memories make me cringe...

A truly embarrasing moment for me was when I realised that I had actually sung out loud (at a bus stop), the cartoon theme tune I had been silently singing in my head for about a week. If I remember right, it is just a tune for the most part with the only sung phrase being the title of the cartoon. at least that is how I was singing it. The cartoon? .... Angry Beavers. smiley - doh

With me, cartoons is usually the raccoons or the Treacle People.
Some things you never really know how you learn them!
