found one manky pirate ship and a bald parrott , which keeps muttering something about pieces of eight, don't forget parrots are not just for xmas, and neither are ''blokes''.

I'd like a parrot. Wouldn't swap the bloke for it though.
He gave me sparkly jewellery and is currently being very nice to my mother (who's staying). I don't think even a pirate ship would top that...

No,haven't got a parrot. Would like a parrot. Got a bloke and sparkly jewellery ... and a lot of fireworks going up at the moment... Can't complain. Don't even have to go out to a New Year's Eve Party

*grins* Nice! Not that I usually go out for New Years parties mind and as the local pub doesn't have bands on anymore I've given it up as a bad job *lol*

I suppose some people might think it's sad chatting on H2G2 at 22.25 on NYE - but I love being at home with the bloke reading a book and smiling at me and offering to make me a nice cup of tea.
The beagle is snoring on the sofa between us and I've just had the last chocolate from the Christmas Tree.
May 2003 be peaceful and prosperous for all of us

I agree with your sentiments, but I have been told that behind every good man is a woman.
Would it not be better if they were in front showing us where to go and what to do by example?, we would learn so much more by watching and it is less tireing than having to work things out for ourselves.
