Loup is feeling a bit dizzy after a particularly heavy bout of deja vu!
F19585?thread=220545&latest=1
feel free to come over and snap out of it! But watch it, it's not unknown for first-timers to come over with a weird feeling of having been in the thread before.
Isn't there some foreign phrase for that kind of thing?

I'm confused, Romani. Why is this entry split into two? It isn't that long!
What's happened to GTB's experience? Hasn't he given it to you get?

when I typed in the alternative therapy ending I lost half of my page & it would,nt update at all so I assumed it was because Im on a digibox we have trouble with the amount we can put on our pages unlike P.C users who can put much more
GTB's experience is somewhere on this convo but then again because Im on digibox I cant cut & paste
its loups experience Im waiting for if thats what you mean though

Hi Romani!
Your new intro is great! It sets the scene AND acknowledges that dowsing has little or no merit in the eyes of sceptics (like me) or
I hope what I say below doesn't sound pushy Romani, I'm just a *peer* who likes the guide because of its style. Point 4 of the <./>Writing Guidelines </.> expects entries to be *Instructive, Informative and Factual* This entry is undeniably instructive and informative , its just the idea that dowsing is *factual* I take issue with
However...
If, in the sentence
* ... simply a weight suspended from a thread and can be used to give answers to questions or as an indicator ... *
the phrase 'can be used' was changed to 'are used' then the emphasis would shift FROM (as I read it) implying that dowsing works TO simply stating the this technique is used
Similarly, the statement
*Anyone can make a pendulum and find the answers to a huge range of questions - such as compatibility with another person, suitability of career, place of residence or general health and so on with dedication and practice*
infers that dowsing really does work
How about making it *Dowsers believe/contend/claim/whatever that anyone can make... *
And how about...
A Dowsers pendulum consists simply of a weight suspended from a thread. The only requirement of the weight is that it is heavy enough to hold the thread taut, however many dowsers prefer black thread with weights of wood or crystal as these are believed to act neutrally insert a description of what neutrally means in this context and don't influence the responses of the pendulum. Hollow pendulums are used for sampling, where small objects or minerals are placed inside, to determine a energy insert a description of what energy means in this context source and to get the pendulum to locate a similar energy.
Saying that *Pendulums are especially useful when dowsing indoors* infers that this is a fact...
How about
Pendulums are used over maps and charts to find ley lines insert a description of what ley lines are *believed* to be , lost objects or persons.
If you can provide proof of the *startlingly accurate results*, please do, perhaps via a link to a reputable website or similar
Instead of
*HOW TO READ A PENDULUM*
how about
*How a dowser reads a pendulum*
followed by
Reading a pendulum means interpreting the movements as answers to questions. A pendulum has two natural rhythms or movements, circular or side to side. It is believed that each of these movements is a way in which the pendulum is communicating with a positive or negative response.
and then
But different people get different responses, as to which means yes and which means no. To some circular means yes and side-to-side no - and equally vice-versa. To determine which is yes and which is no, a dowser will ask a question like "is my name.....?" saying a true name, the answer will be interpreted as a yes response, then repeat this exercise saying a false name to determine the no response.
In keeping with point 9 of the <./>Writing Guidelines </.> [Try to be Well-balanced], it would be good to see something written here about what to do if you get the same response for true and false names
I'm a sceptic, not a cynic. I think it proper to have an open mind, but not so open that my brain falls out So, if you have evidence and can be bothered posting it, then please do

Romani, I completely admire your patience and hard work in these threads. I definitley think we should combine all the information into one entry, though, including GTB's experience. However, that's nothing that a hot sub can't do or us here in-house.
This one has swung into the Edited Guide! Congratulations, Romani.

Your Guide Entry has just been picked from Peer Review by one of our Scouts, and is now heading off into the Editorial Process, which ends with publication in the Edited Guide. We've therefore moved this Review Conversation out of Peer Review and to the entry itself.
If you'd like to know what happens now, check out the page on 'What Happens after your Entry has been Recommended?' at EditedGuide-Process. We hope this explains everything.
Thanks for contributing to the Edited Guide!

oh good... does it mean i'm off the hook with my experience...
somehow i don't think that it would have added much more to the entry... GTB's one is in a way more important because it's was his first time at it and it kind of shows that anybody really can see "something" happening...
anyway well done romani...
we both know that it's not an easy task to provide a lot of info through a digibox...
that makes your efforts even more commendable...
