smiley - cross I knew this bit of the code would bring trouble.

My intent, for what it's now worth, was to break down the community by rough location into a few easily definable groups. I was of course, omitting to remember that Candians hate being called 'American', Norwegians hate being called 'Scandinavian' etc. etc.

Frankly, do what you like - I'm not changing the code at the minute though, 'cos I'm too busy.smiley - nahnah

Maybe a solution is to define the field in terms of the official two-letter country code as defined in the ISO country code standard (whose name escapes me at the moment). Thus, people put the prefix (R, I think) and their country code. I would use RCA or Rca, perhaps.

Anyways, I think I should probably get some sleep....... smiley - sleepy

The only problem with that, as you pointed out, is that the code is then not self-containing, because people keep having to go and look bits up that they can't remember.smiley - smiley

And as _I_ have pointed out (smiley - winkeye) this doesn't really matter. You can still have the same level of information in the Entry, and people can check the ISO-file if the code in question isn't mentioned there and they actually care to know which part of "other" it indicates. smiley - devil

Yeah, but the difference is that I've started to ignore you now, whereas I'm always happy to accept original critcisms.smiley - nahnah
