Well, it sat and stewed for a bit, and I came back to it a bit later, but I think it's finally done....

Sorry to be picky, and I'm sure everyone will want their own favorite styles incorporated, but I think you've left out envrionmental history. Histories examining the role of environmental factors are often the purview of anthropologists, but more and more historians have been attracted to the idea since the 60's and 70's.

Environmental history falls under both ethno and revision history.

Hello MR,
I'm glad you managed to get this in Peer Review. My entire knowledge of the subject as you probably know, comes from proof reading my flatmates disseration on Herodutis and his title as the father of History and was it deserved. So relly nothing more than an interested lay person.... This is a great entry and really deserves to be in the EG.
There are a couple of changes needed to get it into the house style, fistly GMLing will make it a lot more readable, the headers being proper GML headers etc... but the sub editor will do that.
Also it's house style to put quotes in single quotation marks rather than double ones, but again nitpicking.. Personally I'd cut down on a few of the brackets, but that may be just me.
Erm other than that this is good..
WOuld you like me to GML it for you? if you would please let me know I can I e mail you the finsished work??

If you have time, Z, that would be fabulous. Don't do it if you can't, though. And you have my email from topica, and that would be great. If you need it again, I can formally post it there (don't know what platform you're on, and if you can get my email from it)

For your information, you can pretty up someones entry, into GuideML, without revealing any e-mail addresses - see F48874?thread=356813#p4543368 (Note that any reference to 2079885 therein must be changed to the number of an entry created on the volunteer editors page: I alone can edit 2079885.)
Is there a help page anywhere about this, should there be, and should the volunteers that offer to help hitch a ride into the Guide be a bit more forthcoming about this? There are many, me included, that would prefer not to reveal their e-mail address to all and sundry.

Well I offered to do this as MR is a friend, rather as the part of any volenteer scheme that I have to belong to. However we do have a group that offers advice to people who want help getting an entry into the Edited Guide - A1355195

Your Guide Entry has just been picked from Peer Review by one of our Scouts, and is now heading off into the Editorial Process, which ends with publication in the Edited Guide. We've therefore moved this Review Conversation out of Peer Review and to the entry itself.
If you'd like to know what happens now, check out the page on 'What Happens after your Entry has been Recommended?' at EditedGuide-Process. We hope this explains everything.
Thanks for contributing to the Edited Guide!

Hello all, I'd like to introduce myself as subeditor for this article.
You can find the recommended copy as A2181809. I've made some structural changes, and a few working changes so any feedback at this stage would be welcome. There's still a few more things I'm going to check.
I've added a few links to the article, but I'll happily add any more anyone can suggest for h2g2 articles or other websites.
