I'm sure it must be entirely coincidental that as I write this the big bang is still happening out at Hubble's limit, and equally coincidental that inconceivably large numbers of other things are happening in the intervening space and time in the 'simultaneity' of our 'present' moment. 
...on the other hand, when events are linked causally or in terms of motive or motivation, I am not so sure that is coincidental, though one always has to be careful that the links are not merely speculative.
