oh poop - you don't think we've alienated any German Thingites do you?
Hey German Thingites... you can chose this day too, if you like. We promise (at least to your faces) to call it Thing.
(phew, I think we got away with it)

But then they might object to that too... and Dingstag just sounds plain daft...
I think it's time for me to go to bed now

This date is best for me, as I am not working on this day. Also I can get a flight from Heathrow on the 12th, returning on the 14th for just over £100:00. If the date can be confirmed asap I'll see if I can get the time off. The longer it is left the harder it is for me to get the time off, and the more expensive the flights become. I'm looking forward to coming over if I can. Then just need to book a hotel etc.
Here's to making it!

B'Elana says most people seem to be planning on coming on the Tuesday (arriving around lunchtime?) and leaving on the Wednesday. Does this mean I have to take Tuesday and Wednesday off work?
B'El will also not be able to put anyone up - she apologises. I shall try and find some cheap accommodation and post you the links.
Here goes:
You can just put your dates in here:
http://www.frankfurt-tourismus.de/cms/tourismussuite/de/hotels_frankfurt_flughafen/hotel_reservierung_frankfurt/index.html
and see what comes up.
Or you can try: http://www.travelinside.de/Hotel-Frankfurt.html
http://www.traveljungle.de/Hotel-Frankfurt which gives you rooms starting at 42 Euros (which appears to be including breakfast)
Not having any idea about the programme or, indeed of the geography of Frankfurt, I can't for the minute recommend which is nearest to where we will be spending the day/evening.
If you need any help deciphering the German, don't hesitate to contact Sho or me.

Hi TC.
Lovely to speak to you again.
I am aware of B'Elana's little problem, so thought I'd a copy of what I've said, to you.
I have managed to book Tuesday and Wednesday off from w*rk , and am now trying to get Monday off as well. I can then have a 4 day extended stay from Sunday to Wednesday. I will book a hotel or equivalent wherever I end up.
Unfortunately I cannot fly into Karlsruhe, but I can easily get to Stuttgarte which is a reasonable rail journey to Karlsruhe, so no worries there. I shall browse for a suitable hotel, then I can see both Stuttgarte and Karlsruhe. It also means that the Meet time will not be critical.
If the Meet is in Frankfurt, then that is even better, as there are plenty of flights there, and no need to use ICE.
You can always contact me by e-mail to keep me updated if neccessary, as I am on holiday from tomorrow, but I will be at home.
Looking forward to seeing you. If you need me to bring anything with me, further to our conversation last week, don't hesitate to ask.

If it's any help at all, Monday is Easter Monday. (so unless you're in France, or in some strange job where holidays/weekends have no meaning, you should be OK)
I aim to arrive wherever the meet is on Tuesday as early as possible and I'll leave on Wednesday as late as possibe.
Unless I manage to persuade a friend that she needs me to visit her in Stuttgart over easter, in which case I'll be around for longer.
